SOS Children's Villages is looking for Child Caregivers - Montego Bay.
The Child Caregiver provides general support to the SOS Family in the direct care and development of the children.
Required Education and Experience:
- Educated to Secondary level
- Certificate in Child Care or Early Childhood Development or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years experience working with children, adolescents and youth
- Experience in Home Management to include family budgeting
- Ability to operate a computer to intermediate level
Other Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
- Knowledge of Children's Rights and Protection Act
- Comprehension of child, youth and family development
- Knowledge of Positive Parenting techniques promoting child participation
- Ability to work as part of a Team
- Mental alertness and strong motivation
- Positive attitude and perseverance
- Mature and responsible and affectionate spirit
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
- Ability to reside in the village with children in a family setting
- Willingness to make a long-term commitment
