A busy internal medicine sub-specialty practice located in Kingston 6, equipped with state of the art practice management systems, tools and procedures, is seeking a temporary medical receptionist with strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills, computer literate, adaptable to new situations and a strong commitment to excellence in client care.
Period: September - December 2023
Mondays to Fridays 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Duties:
- Register patients (new and follow-up), respond to general queries, telephone and small messages, reports and correspondence in a timely and appropriate manner
- Maintain and update electronic and paper medical records including entering, scanning and uploading data and preparing charts
- Assist with clinical procedures, patient education and support efforts
- Manage collections and billing for patient services
- Monitor/manage inventory, ordering and stocking of clinical supplies
- Assist with general facility oversight
Technical/Functional Competencies required:
- Certification in medical reception, customer service or administration (CPS/CAP)
- Experience in medical office reception/administration
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with technical tools including point-of-sale applications and electronic medical records
- Nursing qualifications would be an asset
