Radiographer (Negril, Westmoreland, Jamaica) - Omega Medical Services

Perform x-rays for diagnostic purposes. Follow established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety

  • Preparing examination rooms for patient procedures.
  • Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images.
  • Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients' comfort.
  • Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify the scan sequences and monitoring the video display to adjust the density or contrast.
  • Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience in operating a CT scan machine and be able to do contrast studies.
  • Must be able to operate a 1.5T MRI machine proficiently
  • Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients' records.
  • General ultrasonography is an asset but not a requirement
  • Organizing the daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic supplies.
  • Performing administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice.
  • Performing scheduled maintenance on radiographic equipment

Required Qualifications:
  • BSc. Radiography and Diagnostic Imaging
  • License to practice radiography.
  • Knowledge of radiologic standards, requirements, and regulations

The Physiotherapist assists patients in rehabilitating physical problems caused by illness, injury, disability or aging, through treatment. The responsibilities of physiotherapists include planning treatments, reviewing recovery, and conducting therapeutic exercises with patients.

  • Assess patients' physical abilities through evaluative procedures such as functional ability tests

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

  • Ensure that all items on the shelves have correct prices.
  • Monitor Inventory level to prevent overstocking. Create and update patient’s health and insurance information (profile) in the system.
  • Maintain an awareness of developments in the community and pharmaceutical fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrate them into practice
  • Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
  • Perform duties of Pharmacy Technician when needed.
  • Enter prescription orders into the system.
  • Perform cashiering duties according to schedule when needed.
  • Assist pharmacist with filing and labeling prescriptions.
  • Replenish shelves daily from excess stock and make note of low stock for reordering.
  • Remove returnable goods from shelves 3-4 months prior to expiration
  • Collect prescribed items from shelves for packing.
  • Verify that customers receives correct prescription(s)
  • Prepackage bulk medications
  • Compound mixtures or medications (e.g. oral suspensions, tropical ointments and/or creams)
  • Answer the telephone

  • Perform blood glucose tests
  • Ensure all goods have correct pricing.
  • Promote items on special, especially to rewards customers.
  • Promote sale of complimentary products.
  • Provide price checks for goods when requested via phone, whatsApp or online
  • Generate receipts for at least 2 items kept inside the dispensary for customers.
  • Specific responsibility for Placing JADEP orders.
  • Assist cashiers when necessary such as delete items from the RMS system
  • Any other duties which may be assigned by the pharmacist, supervisor or manager.

In addition to performance of the essential functions above, this position may be required to perform a combination of other supportive functions, to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of Fontana Limited.

Job Description

We are looking for a down to earth honest worker with a good heart to take care of an elderly man.
  • Preferred age between 40 and 50 years old.
  • No criminal record – Checks will be carried out
  • Must have experience in taking care of elderly people.
  • Must have good communication skills, basic written English and basic Maths
  • Nursing/health background is an advantage but not essential
  • Main responsibilities will be to take good daily care of an elderly man and carry out daily housekeeping duties.

Personal care duties:
  • This will involve cooking meals (Breakfast, a light lunch, and dinner)
  • Nail cutting (Finger and Toes)
  • Ensuring his clothes are changed and he bathes regularly
  • Arranging a barber every 3 weeks
  • Arranging, attending and giving support at doctor's appointments
Housekeeping Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning duties – kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms, front room, front veranda, and back yard. (Detailed description to follow)
  • House laundry sheets etc/ washing clothes.
  • Arranging the grass to be cut every 4 weeks.
  • Arranging for gas cylinder re-placement
  • Ensuring all household bills are paid on time
  • Ensuring dogs on site are well fed and cared for.
Work Schedule:
  • These duties are not exhaustive and may change according to the need of the resident and the household
  • Hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday. 
Skills/Abilities/Experience:
  • Basic healthcare knowledge and experience

  • Pleasing and outgoing disposition and able to work with all guests
  • Able to work on your own initiative
  • Great work ethic and love for clean surroundings
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent cooking skills; able to prepare delicious meals
  • Ability to follow recipes
  • Maintain inventory supplies relevant to job description
  • Must be trustworthy and a team player
  • Ability to instruct additional housekeeping staff when required
  • School leaving certification or HEART certification in Housekeeping/Tourism would be an asset

Caretaker/Butler

The ideal should have:
  • Two (2) or more years experience in a similar capacity
  • Ability to maintain the salt water pool and have an understanding of general repairs
  • Maintain inventory of supplies related to his job description
  • Relate to guests in a professional and friendly manner
  • Pleasing and outgoing disposition and able to work with all guests
  • Basic plumbing knowledge 
  • Gardening/landscaping experience
  • Must be trustworthy and a team player
  • School leaving certificate would be an asset
