Job Summary:
This is a contract role for an In-Home Nurse (part-time) where the nurse will be placed on-call to attend duties when needed. The In-Home Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care to patients in their homes or other specified locations. The nurse will be required to assess patient health needs and develop/follow care plans. Additionally, the nurse will provide education and support to patients and their families, administer medication under guidance/supervision, and monitor patient progress. The nurse may also be required to provide nursing duties at community health fairs, BPOs, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- In-Home Care: Provide skilled nursing care to clients in their homes, including but not limited to administering medication under supervision, monitoring vital signs, dressing wounds, and assisting with personal hygiene tasks.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond promptly and efficiently to emergency situations, including administering CPR and first aid as needed, until further medical assistance arrives.
- Client Advocacy: Advocate for the needs and preferences of clients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety at all times.
- On-Call Availability: Be available for on-call services, where you may be assigned to clients based on their specific needs and your availability. Flexibility in scheduling is essential.
- Community Engagement: Participate in health fairs and community events to promote health education and awareness. Provide basic health screenings and information to community members.
- Sample Collection: Conduct sample collection procedures at various locations, such as BPOs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, laboratory technicians, and office staff, to coordinate care plans and ensure comprehensive services for clients.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client assessments, care plans, and interventions in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:
- Certification in Practical/Geriatric/Pediatric Nursing
- Able to work weekends
- Vital Signs, ADLs, Common Ailments (Hypertension, Diabetes, Stroke, etc.),
- Nursing Principles, Emergency Response, Patient Assessments.
