Executive Management Residence seeks the services of a fully qualified and experienced Housekeeper-Cook for the Chief of Mission Residence. Under the management of the Residence Manager, the Housekeeper-Cook agrees to perform the services required by him/her in Jamaica at the location or locations specified by the Ambassador or his authorized representative, usually at the Chief of Mission Residence (CMR).
Major Duties:
- Preparing and serving breakfast, lunch and dinner on a weekend or as necessary
- Maintain and clean non-representational areas of the CMR, including the guest rooms, hallways, bathrooms, closets, stairways and front porch
- Assist the Butler as necessary to maintain all representation areas of the CMR and serve as a back-up in the Butler's absence to clean and maintain these areas
- Clean or assist in cleaning all windows and floors of the CMR as needed or requested
- Assist in food and beverage service for all representation and entertaining functions
- Serve as back-up, where necessary, for the Chef to prepare and serve family meals
- Ensure all linen used for representational events are properly laundered and in readiness at all times
- Washing, ironing and steaming of personal article of clothing as required by the occupants of the Residence
- Polishing brass and silverware as needed
- Report to the Residence Manager all items needed to ensure smooth functioning of the housekeeping area to include cleaning materials, etc
- Report to the Residence Manager any equipment for repair
- Perform other duties as directed by the Ambassador or his authorized representative
- Follow and respect the chain of command
Position Requirements:
- Workdays and hours: Wednesdays to Sundays from 11:00 am - 8:00 pm
- Employee must be flexible with work hours
- Maintaining strict confidentiality and privacy
- Ability to work with persons of varying cultural backgrounds and beliefs
- Experienced with expectations of high-end service
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Both able to take direction and work independently

- Knowledge of care of household furniture and linens
Qualification & Training:
- High School Diploma
- Formal training from a recognized Hotel and Hospitality Institution in Housekeeping
- Two (2) to four (4) years of experience serving executives/senior leadership or diplomatic personnel in an organization/household or equivalent experience
- Clean police record
