College Nurse, Sessional Nurse (Kingston, Jamaica) - Excelsior Community College

Excelsior Community College, a Methodist tertiary institution invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions:

1. College Nurse 
2. Sessional Nurse 

Role and Core Functions include:

• Providing general medical/first aid assistance to staff and students of the College as needed 
• Giving advice to staff and students on matters relating to health and wellness 
• Assessing, planning, evaluating and executing the healthcare programme of the College 
• Keeping students health records confidential 
• Making referrals to dentists, ophthalmologists and other health professionals as needed 
• Conducting health screening to prevent epidemics 

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing 
• At least three (3) years experience in clinical care 
• Current registration with the Nursing Council of Jamaica 
• Training in Midwifery will be an asset 

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent customer service skills 
• Extremely confidential and caring
• Attentive to detail and accuracy 
• Flexibility and willingness to work on shift
• Competency with the Microsoft Office Suite applications
