Pharmacist (Kingston, Jamaica) - Disposables Limited t/a Jamaica Hospital Supplies


 We are seeking individuals to fill the position of: 

Pharmacist (Part-time) 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage and secure registration of various medical and pharmaceutical products as required by the Ministry of Health and Wellness, the Food and Drugs Act, 1964, and the Precursor Chemicals Act, 2005
  • Liaise with international suppliers as it relates to compilation of product dossiers for registration
  • Preparation of product dossiers for registration of pharmaceutical/medical products prior to importation, distribution an sale in Jamaica
  • Collaborate with procurement supervisor as it relates to import permit application for registered products
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and regulatory entities and Acts

Job Requirements:
  • Two (2) years working experience as a Pharmacist
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
  • Registered Pharmacist licensed by the Pharmacy Council of Jamaica
  • Must be an active member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Jamaica
  • Possesses a valid drivers' license
  • Owns and operates a reliable motor vehicle
  • Good time management, analytical and organizational skills
  • Experience working at a distribution pharmacy, and handling product registration is a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
