Pharmacist (Kingston, Jamaica) - Disposables Limited t/a Jamaica Hospital Supplies


 We are seeking individuals to fill the position of: 

Pharmacist (Part-time) 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage and secure registration of various medical and pharmaceutical products as required by the Ministry of Health and Wellness, the Food and Drugs Act, 1964, and the Precursor Chemicals Act, 2005
  • Liaise with international suppliers as it relates to compilation of product dossiers for registration
  • Preparation of product dossiers for registration of pharmaceutical/medical products prior to importation, distribution an sale in Jamaica
  • Collaborate with procurement supervisor as it relates to import permit application for registered products
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and regulatory entities and Acts

Job Requirements:
  • Two (2) years working experience as a Pharmacist
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
  • Registered Pharmacist licensed by the Pharmacy Council of Jamaica
  • Must be an active member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Jamaica
  • Possesses a valid drivers' license
  • Owns and operates a reliable motor vehicle
  • Good time management, analytical and organizational skills
  • Experience working at a distribution pharmacy, and handling product registration is a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)

Medical Sales Representative (Jamaica, W.I.) - Disposables Limited/Jamaica Hospital Supplies


Required for the following territories:

  1. Kingston, St. Catherine, St. Thomas and Portland
  2. Trelawny, St. James, Westmoreland and Hanover
Job Summary:

Effectively market and sell medical equipment and supplies to customers including hospitals, health centres, doctor offices, laboratory, etc.

Core Responsibilities:
  • To achieve territory sales goals by promoting our products to various entities within the health sector
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers
  • Service existing accounts and establish new accounts
  • Resolve customer issues in a timely manner 
  • Assist in developing and implementing key strategies to support business objectives
Job Requirements:
  • Three (3) years successful sales and/or marketing experience
  • Tertiary level education in Sales or Marketing and/or other qualifications related to the sector
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Must own and operate a reliable motor vehicle
  • Excellent sales skills
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Target driven with proven track record in sales
  • Pleasant personality and highly motivated
  • Computer literate
  • Sales Representative (2) for the western region must reside in St. James.

Pharmacist (Kingston, Jamaica) - Jamaica Hospital Supplies

Jamaica Hospital Supplies, a medical equipment and supplies distributor for over 50 years, is seeking the services of meticulous, motivated, results driven and experienced Pharmacist.

Job Summary

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Registration of various medical devices and pharmaceuticals as required by the Ministry of Health and Wellness
  • Liaise with overseas suppliers as it relates to registering products and compliance with regulatory directives
  • Monitoring the expiry dates of all pharmaceutical products
  • Assisting with the Company's product research and development projects
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures for a distribution pharmacy
  • Assisting with product training, detailing and workshops
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
  • Registered Pharmacist with a valid license from the Pharmacy Council of Jamaica
  • Must be an active member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Jamaica
  • Two (2) years working experience as a Pharmacist
  • Own a reliable motor vehicle
  • Knowledge of new distribution pharmacy registration
  • Experience working at a distribution pharmacy would be an asset
  • Able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and work within tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
