The Southern Regional Health Authority (SRHA), a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Health & Wellness responsible for the management and operation of Public Health Services within the Parishes of Clarendon, Manchester and St. Elizabeth, invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the following position in the REGIONAL OFFICE: DATA ENTRY CLERK (MIS/IT 2 – Pay Band 4)
(Salary range $1,711,060 - $2,301,186 per annum and any applicable allowances). Under the supervision of the Regional Mental Health Officer, the Data Entry Clerk will provide administrative support to the Mental Health Unit.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum five (5) subjects at CSEC/GCE O' Level inclusive of English Language and Mathematics
- Certification in Information Technology/Computer Science
- Minimum two (2) years’ work experience in the field of data management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent data management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- PC operating skills (spreadsheets, word processing and other database applications).
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles
- Knowledge of health care practices and linkages system at the Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels
- Knowledge of statistical calculation related to health information
- Ability to analyse and interpret basic statistical data
- Good time management and organizing skills
- Entering technical/medical data received from institutions.
- Collating information into summary form as required by the Region and submitting to the Regional Mental Health Officer.
- Assisting with the planning and execution of meetings, conferences & outreach activities by the Mental Health Unit.
- Assisting in the compilation of necessary mental health related data for reports (monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc).
- Assisting with the preparation of data for presentations.
- Creating and continuously updating mental health data.
- Preparing the necessary documentation for mental health educational and promotional activities.
- Maintaining an efficient record management system.
- Assisting in field investigations to verify and gather data for abstractions from the different facilities.
- Updating electronic and manual files following outreach interventions/activities.
- Assisting with the compilation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Attending and taking minutes for relevant Mental Health meetings.
- Collating and compiling relevant data, reports and other documents for monitoring of quality assurance and performance.
- Assisting with organizing of workshops and seminars.
