Salary range: CI$71,640-96,336 per annum
Primary Responsibilities:
- Be able to manage a caseload and provide care coordination with the surgical team throughout the patient’s perioperative journey.
- Be aware of the patient’s progress throughout the perioperative progress.
- Ensure perioperative tests are ordered, completed, and reviewed, identifying any potential risks that may delay or reschedule the surgical procedure.
- Initiate and manage the reserve waiting list effectively.
- Initiate and develop a preoperative one-stop approach clinic.
- Provide preoperative education to patients and families, documenting their understanding.
- Plan and contribute to the learning experience of nursing students.
- Hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minimum of three (3) years of experience. Perioperative nursing experience is preferred.
- All candidates must be registered in either of the following jurisdictions to be eligible to practice in the Cayman Islands; Jamaica, USA, UK, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand and/or Australia. The candidates must demonstrate the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
