Live-in Caregiver (Kingston, Jamaica)

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver with a strong background in hospitality, food preparation, and house cleaning to join our household.

The successful candidate will be willing to take a Practical Nursing Course. As a Live-In Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing care and support to a family member while also taking on essential household tasks.

What you will be doing:
  • Provide attentive and compassionate care to the family member, including assistance with daily living activities.
  • Prepare nutritious and well-balanced meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Maintain a clean and organized household, including cleaning, laundry, and general housekeeping duties.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the family member at all times.
  • Remind family member to take medications or nutritional supplements.
  • Administer medications or treatments, as directed by a physician or nurse.
  • Keep accurate records of daily activities, health status, and any changes in the family member's condition.
  • Assist with appointments, errands, and transportation as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Occupational training in hospitality and food preparation.
  • Willingness to enroll in and complete a practical nursing course.
  • Previous experience in caregiving or healthcare is a plus.
  • Food handler permit

  • Able to accept criticism and deal calmly and effectively with high-stress situations.

Summary:
Under the general direction of the Supervisory Hospital Attendant/Hospital Administrator, the Hospital
Attendant will be required to:

Required Qualification & Experience:
  • Complete school to grade 9 level
  • Be physically fit and able to bend, stand and lift
