Gardener (Kingston, Jamaica)

 

We are searching for a competent and reliable gardener to maintain the property/grounds of the Company.

The Gardener's responsibilities include but is not limited to:

• Monitoring the health of all plants and greenscapes 
• Watering and feeding plants
• Trimming trees and shrubs
• Fertilizing and mowing lawns
• Weeding gardens and keeping green spaces and walkways clear of debris and litter

Qualifications/Experience:

• Must know how to use and maintain landscaping equipment which includes lawn mowers, trimmers and fertilizers, while following health and safety protocols and policies
• High school graduate with the ability to read and write
• Experience as a gardener
• Familiarity with landscaping design
• Knowledge of regional plant life
• Knowledge of local pests and how to eliminate them
• Knowledge of synthetic and natural fertilizers
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time
• A love of the outdoors and plant life
• Must be available five (5) days per week and on weekends as required
