Our organization is seeking a Temporary Office Attendant to clean and sanitize our Mandeville, Manchester location. The ideal candidate must be efficient at cleaning surfaces, mopping, sweeping, dusting and other custodial duties while following health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate should be someone who is hard working, can work independently as well as part of a team to help us achieve a high standard of cleanliness  throughout our office.

The incumbent will be responsible for:
  • Cleaning all highly touched areas at workspaces, common areas, offices  and hallways
  • Cleaning restrooms, including restocking of dispensers
  • Sweeping and mopping of floors as needed
  • Emptying of trash cans

Correctional Officer (Kingston, Jamaica) - Department of Correctional Services

The Department of Correctional Services invites applications from males and females to be trained as Correctional Officer.

Prerequisites:

  • Four (4) CSEC/GCE O' level, SSC (ranges 4 and 5) subjects including English Language
  • Jamaica National Service Corp Graduate Certification is an asset
Basic Requirements:

  • Must be prepared to work Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays
  • Must be prepared to work on shifts
  • Successful in all the following areas:
  1. Pre- medical assessment
  2. Entrance assessment
  3. Interviews
  4. Physical assessment
  5. Fingerprint vetting
  6. Polygraph
  7. Laboratory Investigation (Blood Test)
  8. Medical examination
* Job is transferable island-wide

Other Requirements:

  • Must be from the ages 18-35 years old
  • Males - 140 lbs - 160 lbs; minimum height of 5 feet 7 inches
  • Females - 125 lbs - 140 lbs; minimum height of 5 feet 5 inches
  • Mentally and physically fit
  • Must be fully immunized (proof required)
  • No visible tattoos, no earrings for males and one (1) pair for females
Compensation package:

Stipend paid during training - $20,000.00 fortnightly

Upon successful completion of training:

Basic salary - $867,723 per annum housing allowance, $354,795.00 per annum

Associate Psychologist (Kingston, Jamaica) - Sonia Wynter & Associates


 The Associate providers diagnosis and psychotherapeutic treatment utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to clients 24 years to 35 years. The Associate provides interventions that are ethical and always have the client's best interest in mind.

The Associate is willing to work with young adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, phobias, stress,,life transitions, communication challenges, relationship concerns, family issues, anger, aggression, low self esteem, etc.

Time commitment is expected to grow from part-time hours of approximately four (4) face to face hours per week to full-time thirty (30) face to face hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to incorporate multi cultural perspectives and issues into therapeutic conversations
  • Experience or training in facilitating group counseling sessions
  • Demonstrated willingness and/or experience with individuals from a wide range of abilities, backgrounds and experiences
  • Experience providing risk assessment and crisis
Requirements:
  • Master's/Doctorate in Psychology/Counselling/Mental Health Discipline
  • Trained (or is willing to be trained) in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with focus on Depression, Anxiety and Trauma
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience counselling adults
  • Trained in providing Telehealth Services
  • Licensed with the Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-aware, understanding of own culture, identity, biases, prejudices, power, privilege, and stereotypes
  • Ability to navigate cultural issues as they relate to trans and cisgender realities, sexual orientation and preferences, and socioeconomic considerations
