A Cleaner is a service industry worker who ensures the workplace is always clean and sanitary. They perform a range of duties, including dusting or mopping and sweeping floors. They also make sure restrooms and common areas stay fresh by performing routine inspections every day at specified times.

Responsibilities
  • Daily cleaning activities including sweeping, dusting, mopping and wiping
  • Inspecting communal areas to ensure they are tidy and well maintained, including disposing of waste
  • Periodical checks of all restrooms and replacing consumables when required
  • Machine wash the seat covers
  • Protecting and maintaining cleaning resources / equipment and reporting any damage to your manager
  • Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times
  • Responding efficiently to urgent requests such as spillages, so that safety is restored in a timely manner

Requirements
  • One (1) - two (2) years of experience as a housekeeper or within a similar cleaning environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative and flexibility
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
  • Compassionate and caring nature, with the desire to provide comfort to guests
  • Knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products and methods, including cleaning of sensitive materials

DATA ENTRY CLERK – HIV UNIT (MIS/IT2) – VACANT

Reporting to the Regional HIV/STI/Tb Coordinator or her designate, the incumbent is responsible for
the input, uploading and scanning of data into the relevant databases to facilitate the monitoring and
evaluation functions of the HIV Programme. The Officer will also support the implementation of the
Monitoring & Evaluation and research activities outlined in the work plan as well as strengthen the capacity
of stakeholders in data entry and data management by the provision of technical assistance
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Associate Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field

  • Performing validation and verification of data entry forms with documentation of findings
  • Collaborating with professional staff and field officers in the collection, collation, and analysis of data from M & E system including data for donor reporting.
  • Participating in training workshops to build capacity in Data Quality among sub-recipients and other stakeholders
  • Working closely with the Regional M & E Officer and Regional Data Manager to prepare reports
  • Performing duplication checks on data entry forms
  • Performing simple systems administration duties such as backing up databases, internet search, and antivirus updates etc.
  • Performing general office administrative duties such as taking messages, preparing reports, liaising with other component staff
  • Assisting with other statistical updating exercises undertaken by the Unit
