    • Report mechanical and other defects of the motor bike to Supervisor;

    Key Responsibilities:

    Required Qualification and Experience:
    • Certificate in Information Technology.
    • Certificate in Administrative Management Level 1-3
    • Certification from an accredited Secretarial School with proficiency in typewriting at a speed of 40-50 words per minute and shorthand at 80-100 words per minute.
    • Five CXC/GCE’s including English Language, Mathematics
    • At least five (5) years’ experience in a similar capacity.

    Telephone Operator (Kingston, Jamaica) - Kingston Public Hospital

     


    JOB PURPOSE:
    Ensure smooth functioning of hospital switchboard communications. Answer and route correctly all incoming and outgoing phone calls. Assist patients, take messages and log calls for physicians, staff.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Telephone operators typically perform combinations of some or all the following tasks:

    • Operate one or more positions on electro mechanical or electronic/digital telephone switchboard.
    • Place and receive regular and long-distance calls.
    • Provide telephone information including but not limited to: Telephone number, extensions and location of individual and organization.
    • Maintain records of long-distance calls and the time and charges incurred.
    • Act as one of the official point of contacts for organization and is responsible for creating in the caller a favourable impression of the organization.
