Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Human Resource and Administration Manager, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining the physical appearance of the office, as well as for extending hospitality to staff, volunteers and members. The position is also responsible for undertaking routine clerical duties including filing and operating the photocopy machine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that clean and attractive surroundings are maintained
- Assist in ordering office supplies maintaining inventory
- Distribute stationery and assist in monitoring stock levels
- Sort, file and retrieve documents as assigned
- Provide clerical assistance to all departments
- Retrieve incoming mail from post office and disseminate to the appropriate department
- Prepare refreshments and serve before or during meetings
- Prepare conference room to host meetings or events
- School leaving certificate at the secondary level with equivalent level of literacy and numeracy
- On-the-job training in filing, customer service and operation of office machines
- A minimum of six (6) months experience
- Extended hours at times
- Requirement for walking and standing
- Exposure to dust
