Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating theatre and surgical instruments for procedures.
• Assist surgeons during operations by anticipating their needs and ensuring a sterile field.
• Monitor patient conditions before, during, and after surgery.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure a high standard of aseptic techniques.
• Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in Jamaica.
• Post-basic training or certification in Operating Theatre Nursing is preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as an OT Nurse / Scrub Nurse.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniques.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure environments.
