  • Advising Government & other Agencies on appropriate nutrition programmes

REMUNERATION PACKAGE PER ANNUM:

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to Legal Officers, the incumbent will provide secretarial services that will ensure the effective and efficient operations of the Legal Division.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

  • Assists in the preparation of legal documents, under the guidance of the Senior Assistant Attorney General and Legal Officers;
  • Drafts all legal documents including Agreements, Contracts, Memorandum and other Commercial documents;
  • Keeps and monitors Law Volumes to ensure the Law Library is up-to-date and Volumes updated/annotated;
  • Conducts research into legislation, other sources of law and relevant documents as directed;
  • Serves as liaison with all internal and external contacts in facilitating the work of the Legal Services Unit;

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Successful completion of a course of study at an accredited Secretarial School and English Language at the CXC/GCE O’Level English;
  • Successful completion of the prescribed Office Professional Training Course at the Management Institute for National Development at (MIND;
  • Typewriting/word processing at a speed of 45-50 wpm;
  • Good shorthand/note taking skills of at least 100wpm would be an asset;
  • At least two (2) years working experience in a similar capacity.

  • Prepare medicine prescription for clients.

Academic Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or higher
  • At least one (1) year relevant working experience.
  • Proficient with the Computer (MS Excel, MS Word and the Internet)
  • Must be registered with the Pharmacy Council of Jamaica
