Job Summary:

Weekend Caregiver/Helper is needed in Wiltshire, Trelawny.

Live-in on weekends. 

Age range required: Between 35 to 45 years old.

The role will require the suitable candidate to provide support to an elderly woman in her home during the weekend from 5.00 p.m. on Friday to 9.00 a.m. on Monday morning. The role will require the caregiver/helper to prepare and serve meals, perform personal care, and support with bathroom duties.

The home is situated in Wiltshire, Trelawny, with easy access from the main road, and good transport links.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Helping with mobility, including transferring from bed to chair, and using a walker or wheelchair.
  • Providing night watching at intervals
  • Preparing and serving meals, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
  • Providing medication reminders and assistance with medication administration.

The Clinical Dietitian (HTAC/NDT 2) utilizes critical thinking skills to interpret and translate scientific and medical decisions relating to nutrition and health in resolving nutrition problems and concerns of patients throughout the lifecycle. Use actions of nutrition assessment, nutrition intervention, nutrition monitoring and evaluation to identify problems and formulate solutions and document in patient medical records. When functioning in an organization that provides food service, the Clinical Dietitian cooperates and coordinates activities with those of the Department Management Team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

NUTRITION ASSESSMENT

A Systematic process of collecting, verifying, and interpreting data in to make decisions about the nature and cause of nutrition-related problems.
  • Identify patients needing nutrition care through attendance on ward rounds and referrals.
  • Collect anthropometric and biochemical measures, clinical and dietary data.
  • Collect and analyze information and behavioral status.
  • Review dietary intake for factor that affects health conditions and nutrition risks.
  • Evaluate anthropometric and biochemical measurements clinical and dietary data.
Nutrition diagnosis is the identification and labeling of that describes and actual occurrence, risk of, and potential for developing a nutritional problem.
