GARDENER - for a fixed term of 12 months (40 hours/week),

We are looking for an experienced, forward-thinking gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will have at least several years experience to maintain the beauty of plants, outdoor grounds, and trees on the Embassy's premises.

Duties and Responsibilities include (but are hot limited to):

  • Plant and maintain seasonal plants 
  • Mow, trim and fertilize green spaces
  • Mulch, edge and weed gardens
  • Prune, trim trees and bushes
  • Maintain all gardening equipment and machinery, like mowers, trimmers and leaf blowers

Qualifications and Requirements:

Outreach Officer (St. Ann, Jamaica) - AIDS Healthcare Foundation

 


The Outreach Officer will be responsible for the overall and day-to-day administration and management of Ocho Rios Wellness Centre. The incumbent will also be responsible for the support marketing and public relations activities of the Centre.

  • Coordinates the daily activities at the WC.
  • Represents the WC at meetings in the parish or elsewhere.
  • Coordinates office services, such as personnel, budget, records, and inventory management control.
  • Develop and implement strategies for reaching target populations with behavior change interventions developed
  • Design outreach interventions to reach and test high-risk populations including sex workers (SWs), men who have sex with men (MSM), informal entertainment workers, bartenders and hotel workers.

  • Maintain the Inventory and Assets Records.
  • Prepare quality reports in keeping with AHF Global standards.
  • Record Minutes for meeting.
  • Manipulate data and information in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications by creating word processing form letters, tables, etc.
  • Monitor and maintains office equipment and the use of office supplies.
  • Ensure health and safety issues are addressed, including making staff aware of building safety and emergency procedures and safe work practices.

TREATMENT CARE AND SUPPORT OFFICER (HPC/ALH 1) | St. Ann & Portland, Jamaica | NERHA

Summary:
Reporting to the Medical Officer (Health), the incumbent will be required to assist in the development and
implementation of all HIV/STI Prevention, Treatment Care and Support activities within the assigned treatment sites.
Requirements:
  • BSc. in Health Sciences / Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work
  • Basic HIV/AIDS knowledge and experience managing HIV/AIDS patients would be an asset.
  • Have at least three (3) years field experience in HIV or health programme.

Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with technical staff and field officers in the collection, collation, and analysis of date from treatment sites, testing sites and HIV databases.
  • Attend monthly/quarterly/annual meetings/conferences/workshops and special sessions as required by the Parish/Regional/National HIV/STI Tb Programme.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual ad hoc reports and submit to the MO(H), Regional HIV/STI/Tb

  • Officer and Regional Liaison Officer.
  • Review the cascade for the treatment site and have monthly meetings with treatment site staff and MO (H) to update and develop activities to improve the cascade.

The Health Records Clerk under the supervision of the Health Records Technician, has the
responsibility for organizing, implementing, controlling and maintaining the patient information

  • Assembling records after registration of patients.
  • Educating patients on the importance of keeping their appointment date and taking the appointment card when returning to the clinic.
  • Preparing for the clinic by ensuring that all health records for patients to attend on a particular date be retrieved before the date of the clinic.
  • Ensuring the registration of patients both manually and electronically.
  • Collating of the Jamaica Injury Surveillance System (JISS) data and all related incidents or accidents.
  • Ensuring that out guides are placed in the file for each record retrieved.
  • Filing laboratory and x-ray results in the appropriate health records and adds continuation sheets to records if needed the day before clinic.
  • Ensuring that all the health records needed for the clinic are found before the day of the clinic.
  • Completing an inventory for all the records retrieved for the clinic and places a check mark beside the records that are found.
  • Maintaining of appointment systems.
  • Maintaining of all methods, systems and policies which enhances efficient running of the Department.
  • Monitoring EHR ward view daily and ascertain admission and discharge date, diagnosis and discharge outcome for all patients admitted to the firm.

REGISTRATION – Operates on a Shift System (7am – 3pm; 2pm – 10pm; 10pm – 7am)
  • Ensuring that there is proper management of the following duties:
  • Patients are registered on the Patient Administration System (EHR/PAS) by ascertaining their demographic information.
  • Demographic information updated for returning patients.
  • Records are requested for returning patients from the File Room.
  • Confirming on the EHR/PAS after records are sent back to the Registration area to indicate if treatment is complete, patient absconded, patient died etc.
CLINICS – OUTPATIENTS
  • Ensuring there is proper management of the following duties:
    • Registers patients with appointments
    • Gives appointment dates
    • Updates appointment books
