Applications are invited for the position of Sessional Nurse.
To efficiently manage the health centre on a relief basis at a food processing facility, to assist in minimizing occupational health problems, safety hazards and promoting wellness and good housekeeping.
The ideal candidate should be a Registered Nurse and a Certified Midwife and should possess the following:
- Advanced nursing education from the University of the West Indies or equivalent institution
- At least five (5) years experience in a related field, with knowledge of various diseases, family planning and counseling skills
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in conducting training sessions
- Training in critical care or emergency management would be a distinct asset
- Basic Life Support training as well as experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset
- A valid food handler's card
- Ability to work on week days (Mondays - Fridays)
- A reliable motor vehicle
