Sessional Nurse (St. Catherine, Jamaica) - WINDALCO

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Sessional Nurse in the HR/Medical department at the Ewarton Works and Port Esquivel locations in St. Catherine.

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities

1. Supervising the operations of the individual health centre to include the provision of 24-hour nursing service coverage 
2. Making decisions regarding the treatment and management of occupational emergencies and illnesses 
3. Selecting, ordering and monitoring all medical supplies to include equipment and medication needed for the Industrial Health Centre 
4. Arranging for and assisting with the medical examinations of employees (periodic medicals) and job applicants (pre-employment medicals)

Candidates should have:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or its equivalent 
2. At least five (5) years experience as a  Registered Nurse 
3. A valid license from the Nursing Council of Jamaica 
4. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
