Resident Caregivers (Kingston & Montego Bay, JM) - SOS Children's Village

The Caregiver provides general support the Family in the direct care and development of the children and adolescents. Male and female candidates eligible.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Educated to secondary level
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience working with children 
  • Certificate in Child Care or Care giving
  • Experience in Home Management to include family budgeting
  • Ability to operate a computer to intermediate level


Other Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
  • Knowledge of Child Rights and Protection Act
  • Comprehension of child, youth and family development
  • Knowledge of positive parenting techniques, promoting child participation
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Mental alertness and strong motivation
  • Positive attitude and perseverance
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
  • Ability to reside on the village with children in a family setting
  • Willingness to make a long term commitment
