Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Educated to secondary level
- Minimum of three (3) years experience working with children
- Certificate in Child Care or Care giving
- Experience in Home Management to include family budgeting
- Ability to operate a computer to intermediate level
Other Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
- Knowledge of Child Rights and Protection Act
- Comprehension of child, youth and family development
- Knowledge of positive parenting techniques, promoting child participation
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Mental alertness and strong motivation
- Positive attitude and perseverance
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
- Ability to reside on the village with children in a family setting
- Willingness to make a long term commitment
