An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, highly motivated, suitably qualified and experienced Contract Nurse to join the Medical Team at Jamalco.
Under the direction of the Occupational Health Administrator and Medical Doctor, the incumbent is accountable for performing the following:
- Nursing duties and other medical functions as may be required from time to time through the incumbent's direct supervision
- Daily medical activities including performing preemployment and periodic physical examinations, monitoring health hazards and medical surveillances
- Preparing reports of activities within the department, as well as handling emergencies as they relate to the industry
- Supervision of Emergency Medical Technicians
- Coordinating plant education activities and wellness program
Qualifications and Experience:
To be considered the incumbent must have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Minimum of three (3) years experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Current registration with Nursing Council of Jamaica
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience working in a Emergency Unit
