A private hospital located in the corporate area requires the services of Housekeepers and Porters. The special requirements for these posts are outlined below:

Housekeeper

The Housekeeper undertakes all cleaning and meal service activities in keeping with the policies and procedures of the Hospital. These activities include cleaning, mopping and sterilizing all prescribed areas in the Hospital as well as serving meals to the hospital's patients (when assigned to the kitchen). They must have the following:

• School leaving certificate or equivalent.
• Food Handler's Permit.
• Training in Customer service.
• At least two (2) years' experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of cleaning operations and health standards in a hospital.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Porter

The Porter transports patients and performs other housekeeping functions as required. The Porter also assists in the Operating Theatre when assigned and must have the following:

• Passes in at least three (3) O'Level/CXC subjects including English Language.
• Preferably one (1) year's working experience in a similar capacity.
• CPR Training.
• Basic knowledge of manoeuvring patients.
• Good interpersonal skills.
