The Nurses Association of Jamaica (NAJ) is seeking a suitable qualified resident/non-resident person to fill the position of Nurse Manager at an established retirement home in Kingston 6.

Scope of Job:

To provide effective and efficient specialized management services to the Nurses Association of Jamaica retirement home in accordance with the mission and vision of the Nurses Association of Jamaica, and upholding the National Standards of Health Care.

Required Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of Nursing Practice and Care of the elderly
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Good human relations skills
  • Astute analytical skills and problem solving
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to function independently within established policies, procedures and guidelines
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse (currently licensed with the Nursing Council of Jamaica)
  • Managerial training/skills
  • Basic knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety
