Job Scope: Reporting directly to the Branch Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the general maintenance of the offices, canteen and restrooms.

Core Functions:

The functions of the position include but are not limited to:

  • To ensure the general maintenance of the restroom, canteen and offices
  • Assist with the preparation of rooms and refreshment for meetings 
  • Serve refreshment at meetings as required
  • Ensure kitchen utensils and equipment are cleaned daily as required 
  • Receive and maintain inventory items used in the offices
  • Ensure the safe custody, transport of items and documents
  • Maintains a log of items collected and dispensed
  • Assist with other general office errands as directed


Qualifications & Experience:
  • Three (3) subjects (CXC, GCE, CSEC) including English Language and Mathematics or Accounts
  • NVQ-J Housekeeping Level 1
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar position
  • Working knowledge of cleaning/housekeeping practices
  • Knowledge in the safe and effective use of cleaning agents
  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and focus on details
  • Energetic and pleasing personality
  • Strong time management and punctuality
  • High level of flexibility
  • High level of confidentiality
