Applications are invited from qualified persons to fill the post of OFFICE ATTENDANT (May Pen Branch).
Job Scope: Reporting directly to the Branch Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the general maintenance of the offices, canteen and restrooms.
Core Functions:
The functions of the position include but are not limited to:
- To ensure the general maintenance of the restroom, canteen and offices
- Assist with the preparation of rooms and refreshment for meetings
- Serve refreshment at meetings as required
- Ensure kitchen utensils and equipment are cleaned daily as required
- Receive and maintain inventory items used in the offices
- Ensure the safe custody, transport of items and documents
- Maintains a log of items collected and dispensed
- Assist with other general office errands as directed
Qualifications & Experience:
- Three (3) subjects (CXC, GCE, CSEC) including English Language and Mathematics or Accounts
- NVQ-J Housekeeping Level 1
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar position
- Working knowledge of cleaning/housekeeping practices
- Knowledge in the safe and effective use of cleaning agents
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures
- Basic knowledge of inventory management
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on your own initiative and focus on details
- Energetic and pleasing personality
- Strong time management and punctuality
- High level of flexibility
- High level of confidentiality
