Laundry Attendant (Kingston, Jamaica) - Majestic Cleaning & Laundry Services

 Job Brief

We are looking for an attentive Laundry Attendant to support the functions of our establishment and the needs of our customers.

Job Location: 118 Red Hills Road, Kingston 19

Salary: 37,000 - 52,000 per month

Available shift: Three (3) days per week & six (6) days per week

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers 
• Sorting, washing, drying, pressing and folding clothing and other textiles items
• Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures 
• Performing minor sewing duties as needed
• Keep an updated inventory of laundry detergents and sewing kits
• Track maintenance and repairs on laundering equipment
• Ensure that the facility remains clean at all times
• Anticipate and respond to customers' queries, concerns and complaints
• Generate invoices and daily report

Requirements and Skills:

• Proven work experience as a Laundry Attendant or similar role
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment
• Able to meet physical demands such as lifting at least 50 lbs, as well as standing on your feet for up to eight (8) hours
• Must be at least twenty-five (25) years old
• Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Subject required Math, English
• Ability to multitask; is client focused, organized and reliable
