Enrolled Assistant Nurse (Clarendon, Jamaica) - Clarendon Health Department

 The Southern Regional Health Authority (SRHA), a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Health responsible for the management and operation of Public Health Services within the Parishes of Clarendon, Manchester and St. Elizabeth, invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the following position:

Clarendon Health Department

Enrolled Assistant Nurse (HTAC/EAN 1 - (Level 6) 

(salary range $1,922,483 - $2,285,228) per annum and any allowance(s) attached to the post.

Qualifications and Experience

• Certificate/Diploma in Enrolled Assistant Nursing from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Registration with the Nursing Council of Jamaica
• Certificate in Supervisory Management
• At least 2 years clinical experience in nursing

Specific Knowledge/ Required Skills

• Thorough knowledge of current legislation affecting the practice of Nursing in Jamaica.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the triaging of patients at the Curative clinics
• Performing surgical and medical dressings
• Administering treatment to clients as instructed
• Providing education to clients regarding NCDs and the importance of compliance with treatment
