Emergency Medical Technician (St. Catherine, Jamaica) - Oasis Imaging Centre

 

Job Position: Emergency Medical Technician

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment
• Attending scenes of accidents or incidents
• Assessing the level of intervention needed and calling for further assistance if required
• Using life support techniques such as CPR
• Wound Treatment
• Pain Management
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients
• Provide basic life support
• Reassures patients and bystanders by working in a confident, efficient manner.
• Other tasks that might be assigned by the company

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• At least 5 CXCs; a degree would be an asset
• 2-3 years experience as an Emergency Medical Technician
• Knowledge about basic life support/CPR
• EMT Professional Certification/License
• Must be willing to treat patients well in high-stress situations

Special Requirements:

• Must be flexible and willing to work weekends
