The Bearer will be required to ensure the proper handling and transportation of specimens, reports and other packages in a timely manner in order to meet the required standard of our internal and external clients and maintain quality customer satisfaction.
About the Job
You will be required to:
- Ensure the proper delivery of reports
- Ensure the proper pick up and delivery of specimens, and other packages
- Always observe proper safety precautions when making deliveries or collecting packages and during transport
- Always observe proper temperature control procedures when transporting refrigerated or frozen specimens
- Ensure that all STAT reports and samples are picked up and delivered in a timely manner
- Always ensure proper cell phone contact with Head Office for smooth and efficient operations
- Assist the Registry with the update of Doctors' lists and addresses
- Liaise with Central Processing and other technical departments
- Ensure that various medical centres and doctor's offices have an adequate supply of lab request forms
- Ensure that own motor cycles, motor vehicles are serviced regularly and are fit and licensed as road-worthy
- Perform any other related duties
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Certificate/Diploma
- Owner of a motor cycle/ motor vehicle in reliable condition
- Ability to relate well to all levels of staff
- Good oral communication skills
- Ability to effectively follow instructions
- Experience of at least one (1) year in a similar position.
