Nanny/Caregiver (Morant Bay, St. Thomas, Jamaica)

 LIVE-OUT NANNY WITH EARLY CHILDHOOD TRAINING OR EXPERIENCE NEEDED NEAR MORANT BAY, ST. THOMAS.

SCHEDULE:

The Nanny/Caregiver works an average of 16 days/month (Day's work). The typical schedule is every other week Monday to Friday, and every other week Wednesday to Friday.

Days for the upcoming month will be shared on the 25th of the month before.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Engage with toddler through active play, reading stories, and singalongs
• Do structured learning activities, such as coloring, alphabet, counting, reading
• Potty train toddler
• Prepare and serve, or serve breakfast, lunch, and provided snacks to toddler
• Do toddler’s laundry as needed - hand wash and machine
• Bathe toddler, change his clothing, comb his hair, change his bed linen at least once weekly
• Light help with an infant: Help with watching or holding infant
• Light housekeeping: Wash plates; hang, fold, and organize laundry; sweep
• Any other relevant services that may be required from time to time

• Gentle and patient with toddlers

• Good communicator
• Experience working in professional settings - punctual, ability to not be glued to your cell phone during work hours, desire to see toddler progress educationally under your guidance
• Comfortable submitting a copy of ID and references from past employers, and signing a work contract
• Willing to get a police record - employer can help you to apply for and pay for it
• Education, Knowledge & Experience:
• Experience working with children
• Literate
• Numerate
• Early Childhood or paediatric practical nursing training a plus
• Age range: 30+

Pay is $24,000 / 8 days or $3,000 per day.
