Pre-employment Requirements
Prospective candidates must:
- Be a Jamaican citizen
- Be between the ages of 18 to 33 years old
- Be a minimum of 5ft 6" tall (male) and 5ft 5" (female)
- Be medically fit
- Be the holder of academic certificates with minimum passes in:
- Four (4) GCE 'O' Level - Grades A - C or
- Four CXC subjects - Grades 1 -3 (General Proficiency) or
- City and Guilds Level 2 or higher
Certification in a specialized skill is an asset.
Please note: Despite the required qualifications shown above, each applicant must successfully complete a prescribed entrance examination, background check and physical agility test.
Entry Tests and Screening
Prospective candidates must successfully complete:
- A written Entrance Examination covering Dictation, Mathematics, English Language, General Knowledge and Mental Ability test.
- A Physical Agility Test which includes a height requirement test.
- An interview
- A comprehensive background check looking into past employment, character profile and criminal history/Police record
- A medical examination including dental state, blood test, vision test and drug screening
