Live-in Helper wanted in Clarendon, Jamaica.

 

We are looking for a live-in helper in the Four Paths, Clarendon area. The household consists of a two (2) month old baby, five (5) year old and twelve (12) year old children.

Helper Responsibilities:

Complete housekeeping tasks which include:

• Sweeping
• Dusting
• Mopping
• Laundry
• Ironing
• Helper may be asked to prepare meal or snacks
• Overall maintenance of house

Provide Caregiving Services:

• Administer one-on-one care that meets the physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs of child
• Contribute to a safe, caring, loving, nurturing and stimulating environment in which the child will thrive and develop
• Bottle feeding and changing of diaper of child when required
• Bathing and changing child
• Ensure that child's area is always clean, tidy and neat
• Work with parents to ensure child growth and development\
• Any other duties or tasks that may be assigned

Run Errands:

• In addition to daily housekeeping duties, the helper may be called upon periodically to carry out errands such as grocery shopping, pharmacy or store etc, pickup or drop off children or any other task given.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Previous experience as a caregiver 
• Excellent understanding of child development in the different age and stages
• Pleasant and MUST be patient
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and practices
• Ability to read and follow instructions well 
• Ability to prepare healthy and delicious meal and snacks
• Ability to meet physical requirements such as lifting, bending and standing for duration of work hours

Education/Experience:

• Must be literate
• Must be over thirty (30) years old
• Early Childhood certificate will be a plus
• Minimum of three (3) years experience
• References verbal
• CPR & First Aid is a plus
