Ophthalmologists & Optometrists (Jamaica - Islandwide) - Eyeland Eyewear Limited

Eyeland Eyewear Limited is seeking the services of Ophthalmologists & Optometrists to join our team of eye care professionals island-wide. 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Certification from a recognized institution
• Minimum of two (2) years experience working as a practicing Optometrists or Ophthalmologist
• Solid working knowledge of ophthalmic equipment needed to conduct examinations
• Experience prescribing and fitting corrective lenses
• Medical knowledge of testing and treatment for eye injuries and diseases
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform standard eye exams for patients on a daily basis
• Check for evidence of disease, injury or other problems impacting vision
• Provide prescriptions for corrective lenses as needed
• Prescribe medication when needed
• Utilize necessary equipment properly, ensuring it is in good working condition
• Record tests, prescription and treatment for each patient
