Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician (Kingston, Jamaica) - University Hospital of the West Indies

 Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians at the University of the West Indies including the Tony Thwaites Wing for full-time and sessional duties.

Pharmacist

Under the general supervision of the Director - Pharmacy Services, the successful candidate will be expected to carry out duties and functions of registered Pharmacists according to the laws and regulations governing the practice of the pharmacy in Jamaica.

Qualifications & Attributes:

  • BSc degree in Pharmacy/Bachelor of Pharmacy from an accredited institution
  • Current registration with the Pharmacy Council of Jamaica
  • At least one (1) year post-registration experience
  • Hospital pharmacy experience would be an asset or familiarity with Hospital Pharmacy
Pharmacy Technician

The successful candidates will be expected to assist and support the registered pharmacist in filing, sorting and packaging prescriptions drugs.

Qualifications and Attributes:
  • Pharmacy Technician Certificate from a recognized institution
  • Minimum one (1) year work experience
