Nurse Manager - Paediatric Unit (Cayman Islands) - Health Services Authority

 The Cayman Islands is a self-governing British Overseas Territory, the largest by population, in the western Caribbean Sea. This 102-square-mile territory comprises of three (3) islands of Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, which are located to the south of Cuba and Northeast of Honduras, between Jamaica and Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. The Cayman Islands Health Services Authority, is the principal healthcare service provider in the Cayman Islands, offering the most comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient, and public health services through a 127-bed hospital and four District Health Centres on Grand Cayman, an 18-bed hospital in Cayman Brac and a satellite outpatient clinic in Little Cayman.

Nurse Manager - Paediatric Unit 


Salary range: US$108,228 - US $122,500 per annum

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the nursing care and the financial and resource management provided on the unit. The post-holder will manage the nursing and business functions of the assigned unit to ensure that the care provided meets established standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, with a Master's degree being beneficial. Eligible for licensure with  the Nursing  and Midwifery Council of the Cayman Islands. Holds a management qualification. Have at least five (5) years of current nursing experience, three (3) years which must be in a management capacity with demonstrated leadership abilities. The successful candidate must have demonstrated the ability to perform efficiently in high-stress situations.

Cayman Islands Practice Licensing Requirements:
  • All candidates must be eligible to obtain specialist registration with the Health Practice Commission to practice in the Cayman Islands i.e. candidate must be registered in either one of these jurisdictions; Jamaica, USA, UK, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand and/or Australia 
Or
  • Completed his/her postgraduate degree (DM) at a University of the West Indies (UWI) campus
In addition to a tax-free base salary, we provide full healthcare coverage at no cost to employees, non-contributory pensions plan, paid public holidays, 25 days annual leave, study leave, initial and annual licensing registration fees paid by HSA, malpractice coverage. 

Relocation package includes air passage, and freight for employee and dependent(s) to the Cayman Islands.
