Household Helper (Live-in) - Portmore, St. Catherine, Jamaica

 Job Description:

• To provide care to two (2) toddlers ages 2 and 3 years old inside and outside the home as outlined below, but not limited to:

Role and Responsibilities:

• Performs light housework/ laundry and meal preparation
• Leads children in fun and educational activities
• Helps with homework and tutoring
• Caring for toddlers, including bath, feeding, diapering, and dressing
• Encourages healthy habits and hygiene
• Work with parents to ensure children's growth and social development
• Travel with the parents and children both locally and overseas for family trips

Position Requirements:

• Be energetic and outgoing with a self-directed personality and a "can do"attitude
• Have at least two (2) years of previous infant experience (may include daycare or preschool experience)
• Proficient in toddler development
• Willingness to submit to a background check
• Non-smoking/drug free
• Ability to work on some weekends, in the evenings and occasionally full days

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or School Leaving Certificate
• First Aid training/ experience is a plus
• Any additional training is a plus

Preferred Skills:

• Able to read and write
• Experience with toddler care for two (2) years or more

Additional Notes:

• Room and board is provided
• Cost in relation to occasional travel will be covered by employer
• Family of four (4)
• Must have a bank account
