Medical Officer (Kingston, Jamaica) - Jamaica Constabulary Force

 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants to fill the following position within the Medical Services Branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

Medical Officer (HPC/MO 3) 

Job Purpose 

The Medical Officer 3 is responsible for assessing, evaluating and prescribing treatment for the patients/clients through the Medical Services Branch; making appropriate referrals for further treatment that cannot be managed appropriately in the Branch. S/he will, through the medical director assist in the strategic planning, policy formulation and research activities within the Branch, as well as provide supervision for the Family Nurse Practitioner, other senior nurses and clinical support staff.

Minimum Required Education and Experience:

• MMBS degree or equivalent in Medicine
• Graduation from an accredited Medical School plus five (5) years relevant experience
• Post graduate qualifications in a specialized area of medicine
• Post graduate training in Management or Public Health
