The Western Regional Health Authority (a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Health & Wellness) is
currently seeking to employ Attendant Washers for the Regional Office. Under the direct supervision
of the Transport Manager, the Attendant (Washer) is primarily responsible for the cleaning and
sanitization of the vehicles in the fleet and assisting with other duties in the department. The incumbent
will also be expected to:
CORE FUNCTIONS:
  • Ensure that vehicles are properly parked on the washstand/wash area by the Driver before initiating the assessment for cleaning
  • Inspect the external and internal features of the vehicle for any damages before cleaning
  • Record or report any damages observed during the assessment to the Transport Manager immediately
  • Clean vehicles thoroughly based on the agreed schedule or as instructed by:
a. External
    • Using a hose or power wash to rinse off loose dirt and debris off the exterior of the vehicle
    • Using a soft mitt or sponge with soapy water to gently wash the vehicle’s surface from top to bottom including the tires. Refrain from using harsh brushes that can scratch the vehicle
    • Rinsing the vehicle thoroughly to remove all soap residue
    • Using a microfiber fabric to dry the vehicle from top to bottom
    • Using a suitable glass cleaner and clean cloth to clean windows and mirrors
    • Applying tire dressing as desired
b. Interior
    • Vacuuming the interior of the vehicle by removing dirt and debris from seats and carpets
    • Wiping the surfaces such as the dashboard, steering wheel, seats and gear stick with a suitable interior cleaning solution
    • Applying air freshener as instructed
  • Upon completion of cleaning, contact the Driver/Manager to remove the vehicle from the washstand/wash area
  • Return all cleaning supplies and equipment to their designated storage area
  • Assist with cleaning of the garage/ area as directed
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Transport Manager

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Basic written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to write a basic incident/accident report
  • Good interpersonal and customer relations skills
  • Good time management skills

Customer Care Officer (GMG/AM 3)

The incumbent, overseen by the Senior Customer Care Officer, collects client information, provides direct assistance, and maintains client relations per service agreements and the Government of Jamaica Citizens Charter.


Job Purpose

Under the general supervision of the Senior Customer Care Officer the incumbent will be responsible for collecting and providing client related information and providing direct assistance to clients in accordance with established standards.
