Nanny (St. Catherine, Jamaica)

 Location: New Harbour Village, St. Catherine

Description:

The nanny is needed to care for our 4-month-old infant and 2-year-old toddler, including bathing, feeding, changing, and putting them to bed.

• Heat up pre-prepared meals and give them to the children.
• Keep the home neat and tidy, ensuring the children's living space is clean and organized.
• Provide emotional support and care to the children, including soothing, comforting, and engaging in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Ensure the children's safety and well-being at all times, including monitoring their health and responding to any emergencies that may arise.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Care for our 4-month-old infant and 2-year-old toddler, including providing physical, emotional, and developmental support

• Perform tasks such as:
• Bathing the children
• Feeding the children
• Changing the children's diapers
• Putting the children to bed
• Keep our home neat and tidy, including:
• Maintaining a clean and organized living space
• Ensuring the children's play areas are safe and clean
• Heat up pre-prepared meals and give them to the children, including:
• Following proper food safety guidelines
• Ensuring the children are fed on a regular schedule
• Ensure the children's safety and well-being at all times, including:
• Monitoring the children's health and responding to any medical emergencies
• Providing a safe and nurturing environment for the children to grow and develop
• Ensuring the children's physical and emotional needs are met

• Love working with children
• Patient and gentle
• Clean and organized
• Genuine and trustworthy
• Knowledge of childcare and first aid
• Ability to follow simple instructions
• Good communication skills: able to speak and write well in English

Education/Qualifications:

• High school education
• Child Care Diploma/Certification (an asset)
• At least 1 year of childcare experience
• Excellent Grammar
• Proficiency in English

Knowledge and Experience:

• Knowledge of childcare
• Knowledge of first aid (an asset)
• At least 1 year of childcare experience
• Experience working with children, particularly infants and toddlers
• Understanding of child development and ability to provide age-appropriate care

*May be required to work up to 4 days per week.
