Hospital Attendant - Pantry (Montego Bay, St. James) - Cornwall Regional Hospital
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the position of:
The Cornwall Regional Hospital, under the Western Regional Health Authority, requires the services of a
Pantry Attendant (HSC/HS 1) for the above location. Under the supervision of the Head Cook and in
keeping with the Ministry of Health policies and guidelines, the core responsibilities of the successful
candidate will include:
- Collect diet order sheets from wards and submit them promptly to the Production Supervisor to facilitate accurate meal preparation.
- Liaise with the Diet Clerk to obtain diet labels for the preparation of assigned pantries.
- Plate prescribed diets according to diet sheets, written standards, and supervisory instructions.
- Collect diet sheet folders from the Food Service Supervisor for use during meal service.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Head Cook or Food Service Supervisor, for storage or use.
- Completed Secondary School Education.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or food service setting preferred.
- Possesses a valid Food Handlers permit.
- Good interpersonal relations skills.
- Excellent teamwork and cooperation.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
