Attendant (Old Harbour, Jamaica) - Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries

The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries is inviting suitably qualified persons to fill the post of Attendant (LMO/TS 1) - Vacant in the Research and Development Division, Bodles, Old Harbour.

Salary range: $9,405.00 - $10,641.00 per week

JOB PURPOSE

Under the supervision of the Administrator, the Attendant (LMO/TS 1) is responsible for keeping the offices/office compound clean.

KEY OUTPUTS

• Offices and compound cleaned and maintained
• Correspondence collected and distributed
• Refreshments served

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Cleans the kitchen and bathroom
• Cleans the office floor (mopping, sweeping and polishing etc.)
• Replenishes supplies of soap and toilet tissue in the lavatories
• Dusts and polishes office furniture
• Distributes correspondence
• Serves refreshments to the officers at meetings

OTHER RESPONSIBILITY

• Performs any other related duties, which may be assigned.

PERFORMANCE STANDARD

• Cleaning duties carried out in accordance with established standards
• Correspondence/mail delivered in an agreed time frame
• Refreshments served as required under good hygienic conditions
