Hospital Attendants (Porters) - Trelawny, Jamaica - Falmouth Public General Hospital

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the position of: Hospital Attendant-Porters (HSC/HS1).

The Trelawny Health Services (a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Health) requires Hospital Attendants - Porters (HSC/HS 1) for the Falmouth Public General Hospital (Field Hospital).

Reporting to the Chief Orderly, the Hospital Attendant (Porter) is responsible to:

• Transport patients by wheelchair and stretchers, to areas around the hospital and health centre as requested.
• Lift and support patients who are unable to walk.
• Delivery of food, linen, drugs, mail, medical gases to wards and other areas of the hospital
• Provide support to ambulatory patients.
• Assist with ambulance duties as required.
• Cleaning of wheelchairs, stretchers and trolleys and scrubbing of the corridor as required.
• Perform any other duties assigned

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Secondary Education
• Minimum two (2) years experience in a similar capacity

REQUIREMENTS

• Good mental and physical health.
• Proactive work attitude and good interpersonal relation skills
• Ability to work on own initiative.
