 Patient Care Assistants (HSC/HS 5) for the Falmouth Public General Hospital (Field Hospital).

The Trelawny Health Services (a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Health) requires Patient Care Assistants. Reporting to the Director of Nursing Services, the Patient Care Assistant is responsible to:
Core Responsibilities

• Assists with the patients' diet-serving and feeding
• Assists with patients' hygienic needs
• Assists with patients' elimination needs
• Makes beds and cribs and basinets
• Tidies patients' environment for handing over to the other shift
• Assists with care of hospital equipment
• Conveys and collects items from the pharmacy and the laboratory
• Prepare and clean sluice room, utility room and cupboards

Qualification And Experience

• Two (2) CXC IGCE Subjects including English Language
• Certificate in Practical Nursing an asset
• Minimum two (2) years work experience

• Good interpersonal and listening skills
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Good written and oral communication skills
