Office Attendant (St. James, Jamaica) - St. James Parish Library

Job Purpose 

  • To maintain a clean and tidy office environment
  • To provide refreshments and related services for staff, customers and other visitors to the Agency
Key Responsibilities and duties:
  • Prepares and serves meals/refreshments at specified times to staff, visitors and at meetings 
  • Clean and disinfect office equipment
  • Clean bathrooms and replenishes articles such as toilet paper, soaps, etc
  • Clean, sweep, wipe and polish floors
  • Dust windows, doors, ledges, tables and desks
  • Wash and sanitize kitchen appliances and utensils, and ensure the area is always kept clean

Special Conditions associated with the job:
  • Will be exposed to cleaning agents and chemicals
Minimum Requirements:
  • Ability to read and write well (Secondary School Leaving Certificate)
  • A valid food handler's permit
Required Experience:
  • Prior experience in a similar position would be an asset

Salary: $857,012 - $1,152,632 per annum
